A Birthday and a New Beginning on Costa Rica’s Caribbean Coast

I have always loved being alone. Solitude gives me space to listen, create, and connect with the cosmos. But this birthday has been especially beautiful because of the people around me: friends, a newborn baby, ceremony, and time at the beach.

Celebrating another year of my life alongside the beginning of a new one feels powerful. Here on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, I feel like I am beginning again, too.

Moving Center of Mystic Arts to Bribri has opened a new chapter. New friendships, new surroundings, and new connections are bringing the work I have nurtured quietly into a wider community. With new website members and a Solar Party Paradigm card order, there is plenty to celebrate.

The Moon in conjunction with Mars in Cancer feels like a reflection of this moment. In the Solar Party Paradigm, the Moon is the Magic Mirror and Mars is the Jock. Standing arm in arm, they bring feelings and action together: the tenderness of belonging, the courage to connect, and the desire to nurture something new.

And something new is already stirring! We have begun exploring a digital version of the Solar Party Paradigm astrology cards, with the possibility of interactive software built around the Solar Party grid. It is still an emerging idea, but I am excited and cannot wait to get started.

This birthday reminds me that I can love my solitude and welcome the beauty of sharing my life. Ceremony, friendship, the Caribbean Sea, and fresh creative possibilities are all part of this unfolding chapter.
